I had the pleasure to be engaged by HIA (Housing Industry Association) for the second year to be their Master of Ceremonies for the Regional Victorian Housing Awards. These awards are taking place in Yarrawonga, Torquay and Cape Shanck. The winners will then head to Crown Casino in November for the State awards. First cab off the rank was a beautiful venue, The Sebel Yarrawonga. It felt more like Bali! I arrived and was immediately amazed that after 2.5 hours in the car, much of that time driving through canola fields, I arrived at a luxury oasis on the stunning Lake Mulwala.
The accommodation was beautiful and the awards went off without a hitch. The standard of building continues to amaze especially given the difficulties of the last few years. I presented a fun comedy segment as well as a short quiz to break up the Gala Awards. Now on to the possibly equally stunning RACV resort in Torquay for the HIA Western Victoria Awards on Friday night.
